OVERTAKE Tuning update

The clip above is not the Tuning patch. It is early OVERTAKE development footage from 2023 — a no-hesi highway prototype with the same job (cut traffic, hold speed) and none of the 2026 garage. Watch it for mood and map feel, then ignore it as a parts list. The live game launched on 28 February 2025. The experience title flipped to [TUNING!] around 1 February 2026. That title is the patch this page is about.

If you only remember one fact: launch OVERTAKE sold cosmetics; Tuning-era OVERTAKE sells speed. Engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes were visible and locked in March 2025 creator videos. They are the point of the current shop. Spend using upgrade priority and the practical tuning guide.

What the 2023 footage is good for

The 2023 recording shows the fantasy EMZ Games was already chasing: a Roblox highway that feels closer to a no-hesi video than a tycoon lot. You can steal three lessons from it without copying the old UI:

• Traffic is the track. There is no separate “race weekend” mode you are missing.
• Cuts are the skill. The how to overtake guide is the 2026 version of that lesson.
• The car will change. Prototype handling is not a promise that your current A-tier pack car will feel identical.

Do not hunt the 2023 HUD. Do not hunt cars that only existed in a test place. Do not assume mobile worked then — mobile is not supported yet on the live PC and Console build.

What [TUNING!] actually changed

Performance rows opened. The garage that used to tease engine and gearbox now takes cash. That is why the tier list can talk about S shop supercars as a project, not a paint job. A Ferrari-style thumb with stock internals is a poster, not an S-tier tool.

Cash sinks got honest. Codes such as 20K_LIKES for 100,000 cash matter more after Tuning, because 100k can be an engine stack instead of a wrap. Stack that grant with VIP and the 10% group rate using cash boost math.

Pack cars became platforms. Muscle Pack BULL Devious / CHARRIOT M8 and the JDM Pack car were always A-tier bodies. Tuning is what lets them pull like A. If you bought a pack in 2025 and never opened performance, you still have a 2025 car.

Cosmetics did not leave. Rims, camber, horn, paint, plates, underglow, and wrap still exist. Custom Color (30 Robux) and Radio (50 Robux) still exist. They are still not the update.

Garage order in the Tuning era

1. Confirm you can drive: Getting Started, controls, manual. Auto clutch stays on until you are bored of it.
2. Redeem live codes. Skip expired strings you saw in a 2025 video.
3. Pick a chassis from starter cars unless you already own a pack car.
4. Buy engine, then gearbox, then brakes / suspension. Details: upgrade priority.
5. Only then wrap the thing.

If the performance tab is empty, you are not in Tuning-era OVERTAKE — you joined a copy, a private outdated place, or a thumbnail. Leave and open the live experience linked from official links.

What Tuning did not rewrite

Server size is still 15. Platforms are still PC and Console. EMZ Games is still the group behind the place. The 10% / 50% cash lines are still the published rates. The leaderboard is still a small-room board, not a stadium esport. Client scripts still are not a “tune.”

Tuning also did not freeze physics forever. Solo-dev games retune. If an S-tier open-wheeler suddenly feels planted or broken, drive it before you rewrite the tier list from a comment section.

How to tell you are on the current build

• Experience title includes TUNING (until the next prefix).
• Garage performance purchases complete and change the next pull.
• Shop still sells Muscle / JDM / VIP as described on the players hub.
• You are not on a phone client.

If those fail, you are reading history, not playing it. Treat 2023 clips as mood, not as a parts list.
