OVERTAKE on Console

OVERTAKE is PC and Console. The Roblox description still says mobile is not ready. If you are on a phone, you are not missing a secret HUD — the place will not treat you as a supported client. This page is for gamepad players on Xbox and PlayStation who can join the 15-player highway and then stall in first gear like everyone else.

The functions match the keyboard controls table even when the labels change. Start engine, Neutral, throttle, shift, camera, handbrake, look behind, radio, menu. Open Settings → keybinds in a live server and read the pad map there. Do not memorize a wiki table copied from another no-hesi game.

Same stall rule on a pad

The official manual tutorial is keyboard, but the physics are not. Cars do not launch from a stop in first. Console comments on that video are mostly “spamming F and W” and “the car swinging crazy.” Both are pad translations of the same mistakes.

1. Shift to Neutral with the bind shown in Settings (on PC that is Q/E).
2. Press the engine start bind (PC: F).
3. Add a little throttle.
4. Shift up and drive.

Auto clutch is ON by default. Leave it on for the first week. Clutch on a trigger or bumper is a later skill. After a crash, repeat Neutral → start → throttle → shift. That is also the first-hour loop on getting started.

What the pad has to cover

If the car “swings crazy,” that is steering rate plus camber plus shake, not a broken Xbox. Drop camera shake, particles, and wind in settings. Leave camber stock. Read customization before you tilt the wheels.

Console-specific friction

On-screen prompts. The tutorial toast still talks like a keyboard. Translate “press F” to whatever Settings lists for engine start. The game will not print a second Console tutorial.

Deadzones. A twitchy stick plus a narrow gap is a crash. Raise inner deadzone slightly if the car wiggles in a straight lane. Do not max it or you cannot make a late cut.

Servers. Max 15 players. You will share AI traffic and human cutters. A VIP tag does not give you a private Console lobby. The board is session-local — leaderboard.

Chat and codes. Redeem codes from Shop → Codes the same way as PC. The box is not on the Roblox website. Underscores still count. If the virtual keyboard inserts a space, delete it. Full clicks: how to redeem.

What Console does not change

Cash still comes from clean overtakes and codes. Group and Premium still add 10%. VIP is still 50%, a tag, and 25,000 cash for 500 Robux. Muscle Pack and JDM Pack still spawn cars. None of those passes remap your pad.

The overtake multiplier still dies on contact. How to overtake is the same on a stick: pick a lane, commit, lift if the hole closes. Near-misses help. Heroic bumper kisses do not.

First Console session

Join the EMZ Games place, not a copy. Open Settings, photograph the keybinds if you must. Leave auto clutch on. Start in Neutral. Claim codes. Take one clean pass. Then decide whether the stick needs a deadzone change or the car needs upgrades. Do not buy a pack because the hatch “feels slow on Console.” Slow plus restartable prints. Fast plus stalled in first prints nothing.
