First hour in OVERTAKE

OVERTAKE is the EMZ Games highway racer that launched on Roblox on 28 February 2025. You get a manual car, a 15-player server, and AI traffic to cut. PC and Console work. Mobile is not supported yet — if you are on a phone, you will not get a secret touch HUD. This first-hour plan is what to do before you spend a single Robux.

Minute zero: actually spawn

Join the live EMZ Games place, not a copy with a similar thumbnail. Wait until the car and the left HUD exist. Press R if menus spawned on top of each other. Open keyboard controls in another window only after the car moves; the bind list will not start the engine for you.

Check Settings once. Auto clutch should already be ON. Leave it on for the first hour. Clutch on Left Shift is a later skill. Camera on C until you can judge gaps; first-person is optional, not a flex.

Stall recovery before anything else

The starter car does not launch in first gear from a stop. That is the official rule, not a bug.

1. Shift to Neutral with Q/E until the HUD shows N.
2. Press F to start the engine.
3. Hold a little W throttle.
4. Shift up with E and drive.

If you stall after a crash, do the same four steps. Do not mash F in first. Do not start in a high gear “to save time.” The long version, including why auto clutch exists, is manual transmission. Until that drill is automatic, you are not ready to buy a pack.

Handbrake is P. Use it in the lot, not as a panic button in traffic. V looks behind. X is radio and does nothing useful until you can keep the engine alive.

Claim codes before you shop

Open Shop on the left, Codes tab, and paste every string on the working codes list. Click path and typo fixes are on how to redeem. Skip the expired archive unless a “friend code” looks old.

20K_LIKES is still in the official description for 100,000 cash. OVERTAKE2026 and WELOVETUNING are the 2026 pair. Together the live list is enough to tune a starter car. Do not convert that pile into the 650 Robux Muscle Pack or the 350 Robux JDM Pack on minute ten. Those passes are documented on car packs for later.

Custom Color (30 Robux) and Radio (50 Robux) also wait. Paint does not restart a stalled engine.

First overtake, not first crash

Drive with traffic until the car feels like it will restart. Then take one clean pass: pick a lane, commit, do not clip the target. Clean passes raise a cash multiplier. Near-misses help. A crash resets it. That is the whole economy. Details live on how to overtake.

If you wreck, you are not “practicing.” You just zeroed the multiplier. Recover with Neutral + F, then take a quieter gap. Fifteen players means some humans will dive the same hole you wanted. Lift. A live combo beats a highlight clip.

What not to buy yet

Do not buy VIP (500 Robux, 50% cash, tag, 25,000 cash) until you can keep a multiplier alive for more than one interchange. The 10% from the EMZ group plus Roblox Premium is the cheap boost; math is on the cash boost tool and the VIP page.

Do not buy a second car because the starter looks slow. Slow plus restartable earns. Fast plus stalled in first earns nothing. Starter cars and upgrades are the spend order. Tuning explains why handling parts beat a top-speed number you cannot use in traffic.

Do not farm AFK in the lot. Codes and one clean route on earn cash outpace sitting still.

End of hour checklist

You should have: engine start in Neutral without thinking, every working code claimed, one clean overtake, and a garage plan that is parts — not a pack receipt. If the title screen still says [TUNING!], skim the Tuning update so the garage tabs match what you read. Official Discord and group links sit on links if the Shop tab vanishes after a patch.

Leave the session when you start mashing F in gear. Fatigue is how first-hour cash returns to the barrier.
