Climb the OVERTAKE board

OVERTAKE’s pitch is “race and climb the leaderboard.” The board is not a global esport bracket. Servers hold 15 players. You are ranked against the people in that instance, this session, on a highway that also has AI traffic. A VIP name tag looks loud in a room that small. It does not add a hidden ranking multiplier on top of the published cash rates.

What the list is measuring

Public descriptions talk about climbing by skill: cut lanes, do not crash, collect cash. The loop that feeds both cash and the board is the overtake multiplier. Clean passes raise it. Near-misses help. Contact resets it. A player who sits first for ten minutes of clean traffic will outprint a tagged VIP who bins the car every interchange.

Treat the board as session-local. Leave the server and you leave that room’s list. There is no wiki-tracked global season. If someone screenshots “#1” in a dead 3-player instance, that is a quiet lobby, not a world title.

What does not raise rank

• Wraps, rims, underglow. Cosmetics. See customization.
• Radio on X. Noise.
• A stalled engine in first gear. Zero speed, zero passes. Fix it with manual transmission.
• Scripts. Speed injectors and auto-farm tools risk the account and do not belong on a public 15-player board. Warnings: scripts.
• Mobile. Not supported yet. You cannot climb a board you cannot join.

How VIP and group show up on the list

VIP is 500 Robux: 50% cash, a tag, 25,000 cash. The tag is a lobby signal. The 50% is more cash per pass, which can move you up if you keep the multiplier alive. If 10% group/Premium stacks with 50%, you are in the cash boost math, not a secret leaderboard formula.

Join the EMZ Games group for the cheap 10% before you buy VIP to “buy rank.” A tagged wreck is still a wreck.

Muscle Pack and JDM Pack put BULL Devious, CHARRIOT M8, or a moderated JDM body in the garage. Faster shells help you reach traffic. They do not pause the crash reset. A hatch that keeps a combo will beat a pack car that lives in the barrier. Rank cars on the tier list by how they cut, not by how they screenshot.

A board-focused session

1. Redeem codes so you are not broke if you bin once.
2. Settings: auto clutch on, shake down, radar on — settings.
3. Start in Neutral. If you cannot restart, you cannot rank. Getting started.
4. Drive with traffic until the car feels restartable, then take clean passes only.
5. If the gap closes, lift. A saved combo is rank. A highlight clip is not.
6. Ignore players who dive the same hole. Fifteen seats means collisions are social, not unlucky.

Reading other people’s positions

A name at the top with a VIP tag might be richer per pass or just cleaner. Watch whether they restart after a hit. If they mash engine start in gear, they will fall off. If they vanish into the garage for wraps, they are not farming the list.

Do not chase their shell. Chase their uptime. Tuning parts that keep the car predictable — tuning, upgrades — print more rank than a cambered screenshot car.

When the board looks empty

Low population hours happen. A 15-cap server can still feel lonely months after the April 2025 peak. You can still farm cash and practice cuts. The list is smaller; the multiplier rules do not change. Official Discord sometimes has “who is on” chatter — links. This wiki is unofficial and does not host a live CCU widget.

Climb by not crashing. That is the whole sport.
